30% Glycolic Acid Chemical Lunchtime Peel
WHAT IS IT: Glycolic Acid has long been a first line product of the finest spas and dermatology offices for improving the skin. For those of you who have heard the term 'lunchtime peel', this is the chemical used for it and now you can do these peels at home safely and with fantastic results.
Glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane and is the smallest of the fruit acids. It is able to penetrate the skin effectively, allowing it to effectively dissolve the 'glue' that holds dead cells together.
WHAT DOES IT DO: Glycolic acids remove dead skin cells that cause a dull skin, uneven skin tone, blackheads and acne. Once dead cells to sloughed off, you'll find smoother skin with clear pores. The process also helps stimulate collagen formation under the skin's surface to plump up the skin from beneath. After just a few short treatments, you'll find smoother lines and disappearing scars.
HOW DO YOU USE IT: This peel is very easy to use: simply cleanse, apply, time it, neutralize and rinse. We include very clear instructions on how to use this peel.
This glycolic peel is mild and is suitable for all skin types and both beginning and experienced peelers. There may be some redness right after the peel, but generally there is not much if any actual peeling. This peel can be left on for up to 10 minutes, depending on the depth you'd like to peel at.
WHY USE A 30 PERCENT GLYCOLIC PEEL: The 30 percent Glycolic peel will resurface the upper layers of your skin by loosening the bonds between the dead skin cells that dull your skin, while stimulating the collagen beneath the skin to form and align, which in turn plumps up the fine lines and scars from below the surface.
Each bottle of our 30% Glycolic Acid Peel will yield approximately 8 peels done at 3 week intervals, a potential savings of $733.00-$5000.00!After peeling your skin will be feel softer, look smoother, with improved texture and tone and reduced (sun damage). Collagen will be stimulated under the skin which will help over time to plump up the skin from the inside out. With a peel of this strength, a full course of peels (8-10 peels) are needed to see optimal results.
WHAT TO EXPECT: About two days after the peel your skin may start to flake and peel slightly. You can encourage peeling by using warm compresses and taking hot showers, but do not pick at the skin.
OTHER INFORMATION: By peeling off the skin you risk scarring by exposing skin that is not ready for the world yet, so allow the skin to shed on its own. As with all exfoliating products, the use of sunscreen is essential to obtaining the results you are looking for. If you are not able to commit to using a sunscreen, this is not the treatment you should choose as you will just damage your skin all over again. As with all products, a patch test is always recommended to see how your skin reacts. After you have applied the peel, your skin may be red, this is normal and will fade quickly. You may wear makeup to tone in down if you would like, however, make sure that it can be removed with a gentle cleanser - no scrubbing allowed.
You will receive a 30ml (1fl oz) bottle of 30 percent medical-grade glycolic pH 2 peeling solution in amber glass to preserve the activity of the product.
