Are you tired of Acne products that promise clear skin and cost a small fortune, but never work? Are you tired of your skin looking, well, tired? Is all of the sun damage you inflicted in your youth showing on your skin now in the form of age spots and fine lines? Would you like to safely take years off the look of your skin in the comfort of your own home, while saving hundreds over having it done professionally? If you answered yes to any (or all) of those questions, you have come to the right place. We carry a full line of professional quality skin care products to help all of your skin care concerns. Our 50% Alpha Beta Chemical peels can truly stop your acne outbreaks in its tracks. The Beta component, Salicylic Acid, is a common treatment for acne, but we have increased the concentration to a more effective level than you can get over the counter. In addition, we have the second component, the Alpha Hydroxy acid: Glycolic acid, at 50%, which helps keep your skin exfoliated and fresh, preventing the ability of acne to form under the skin and in the pores. The next step up from our 40% Alpha Beta peel, this is a light/medium peel, and is significantly stronger. This strength of peel is great for people who already know how their skin responds to a chemical peel. Beginners should start with the 30-40% Alpha Beta, and work up to the 50%. This peel does a great job of retexturizing the skin, restoring the radiance of your youth. These easy to use peels combine the benefits of both the AHA's and BHA's, with light to moderate peeling at the 50% concentration. These peels are repeated monthly and this kit provides enough peel solution for approximately 2 months worth of peels. Your skin will feel softer, look smoother, with improved texture and tone and reduced hyperpigmentation (sun damage). Those are the differences on the surface of your skin. With a peel of this strength, a full course of peels (8-10 peels) are needed to see optimal results in fine lines, though immediate results will be seen with acne and hyperpigmentation problems.
This is a 30ml (1fl oz) bottle of each peeling agent (2 bottles total, 2 oz total), medical quality, pH 1 in amber glass to preserve the activity of the product. Along with the peel you will receive a detailed instruction manual and a free sample of our best selling Microdermabrasion Crystals (one per shipment).Chemical peels are versatile tools that are used to resurface the upper layers of your skin by loosening the bonds between the dead skin cells that dull your skin, while stimulating the collagen beneath the skin to form and align, which in turn plumps up the fine lines and scars from below the surface. They have been around since Cleopatra bathed in milk (contains lactic acid!) to make her skin smooth. Fortunately, science has made a lot of progress since then and the chemical peels available now are sophisticated and effective.
Our Alpha Beta peel contains both Salicylic acid and Glycolic acid. Glycolic Acid is a naturally occurring chemical belonging to the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family. Derived from sugar cane, this important AHA is the smallest of the fruit acids and is able to penetrate the skin, allowing it to effectively dissolve the 'glue' that holds dead cells on the surface of the skin. The dead skin cells are what cause a dull, uneven skin tone, and the blocking of pores leading to blackheads and acne. This dissolving action of the Glycolic Acid allows the dead cells to slough off, leaving behind a smoother skin surface with clear pores. This also helps stimulate collagen formation under the skins surface which helps plump up the skin from beneath, smoothing out fine surface wrinkles and superficial scars.
Salicylic acid, a common beta hydroxy acid, has been used for treating acne for decades. In fact, acne treatment remains the primary use for beta hydroxy acids. Its effect on the epidermis and upper dermis are similar to those of prescription Retin-A, but with less irritation. It is soluble in oil and can exfoliate oily skin areas, even within oil-rich pores. Therefore, it has a beneficial effect on acne, pigmentary disturbances, and sun damaged skin. Because it does exfoliate, it has recently been added to formulations for chemical skin peels.
Our 50% Alpha Beta peel is a light/medium peel and is suitable for most skin types and is geared more toward experienced peelers. There may be some redness right after the peel, and there will probably be light to moderate peeling. Please see our other auctions or our Ebay store Skin Obsession for different concentrations of our Alpha Beta peels if you need to find the 30% or 40% strength. The 50% is very safe when used as directed, but is a strong, professional strength peel (pH 1) and should be used only as directed. As with all products, a patch test is recommended to see how your skin reacts to the peel.

This is a medical quality peel, and by purchasing this item you are accepting all responsibility for its use. You may need to contact a professional for your particular skin concern, this is not an attempt to diagnose your condition. This product is a strong acid designed to be used by professionals. Bid, purchase, use at your own risk - By purchasing this, or any of our items, you agree to hold the seller harmless for any ill effects which might be the result of either proper or improper use.
- This peel is very easy to use, you simply cleanse, apply Step 1, time it, apply Step 2, time it, neutralize and rinse. We include very clear instructions on how to use this peel
- After you have applied the peel, your skin may be red, this is normal and will fade quickly. You may wear makeup to tone in down if you would like. About 2 days after the peel your skin may start to dry out and take on an aged appearance, this is supposed to happen! It means that your skin is getting ready to flake and peel. You can encourage peeling by using warm compresses and taking hot showers, but you cannot pick at the skin! It must come off when it is ready to, not when you are ready for it to! By peeling off the skin you risk scaring by exposing skin that is not ready for the world yet, so allow the skin to shed on its own.
- As with all exfoliating products, the use of sunscreen is essential to obtaining the results you are looking for. If you are not able to commit to using a sunscreen, this is not the treatment you should choose as you will just damage your skin all over again!
